Sr. Product Manager, Kindle Periodicals

Just as Kindle has transformed how people read books; the Newsstand team is transforming our customers’ interaction with periodicals, including some of the world’s top media brands such as Time, Sports Illustrated, People, Vogue, and more. Using a combination of analytics and strategic thinking, you will set business direction and define and create products and services to delight Kindle customers worldwide.


Key responsibilities:

- Initiate, define, and lead projects that advance the customer experience for Newsstand customers worldwide

- Shape the periodicals strategy for Kindle tablets, e-ink devices, and reading apps

- Establish business models as well as metrics and indicators for success

- Contribute to the overall product roadmap, and manage prioritization and tradeoffs against customer experience

- Write the business plan, product requirement documents, and manage cross team coordination to deliver products

- 5+ years of product management experience

- Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills; comfortable with a P&L, business trend analysis and forecasting

- Demonstrated ability to successfully influence multiple stakeholders and lead cross functional teams across geographies and business units

- Excellent communication and people skills, and an ability to communicate clearly with diverse partners

- BA/BS required


- You are customer centric - you love to understand consumer behavior and their underlying motivations

- You are a leader - you set business direction, prioritize well, communicate clearly, and influence cross functional teams

- You are driven by data - you rely on analytics and data to shape the decisions you make, and evaluate outcomes

- You are a self-starter with a track record of success in delivering innovative products with a strong customer and quality focus

-You have a strong interest in and knowledge of digital technologies and media

- MBA preferred
