IT Specialists in this job role will have expertise in one or more storage system technology areas. Examples include: disk, tape, SAN, NAS, or storage software related to these technologies. Knowledge of both IBM and other vendor products (EMC, HDS, NetApp) is beneficial. This is a technical sales role to support field sales in driving storage revenue in their territories. Typical examples of activities are building proof-of-concept solutions with storage system technology, architecting storage solutions to address client requirements and providing technical content for proposals. Client Technical Specialists also are responsible for establishing technical relationships with their clients and ensuring their satisfaction with IBM products and support.

The Storage CTS is a pre-sale technical role. Storage CTS will work closely with the IBM sales and other technical sales and support teams in support of the customer.
