The Prime Acquisition team is looking for a top notch technical leader to drive the expansion of Prime offering to an ever increasing number of locations and surfaces (web, apps, Kindle, tablets, phones, gaming consoles, TV, etc.). As a Senior Software Development Engineer you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to come up with an architecture and solutions to dramatically improve the speed at which new Prime offerings, messaging, and experiments can be done. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed in a cross-organization environment. The Role: · Design/Architect major evolution of the Prime messaging and signup software on the server side and on the client side. · Technical expert on projects that have a major impact on both the software engineering team as well as the entire Prime organization. · Lead projects that have a major impact across organizations (Prime, Retail Website, Kindle, Amazon Video, ...). · Provide technical leadership in evaluating, understanding and integrating varied software solutions. · Responsible for software architecture including determination of current limitations and compatibilities between systems, orchestration of technical evolutions across several systems. · Preparation of technical requirements, software design specifications and other forms of architectural documentation. · Provide technical mentorship to the engineers in our organization. · Deliver high quality work on tight schedules.

Basic Qualifications

Experience developing with JAVA, HTML, CSS, Javascript, XML Web Services, Perl/CGI, MySQL, Oracle and Linux/Unix Portfolio or samples of online materials 3+ years experience designing and developing internet applications
