Diversity Recruiter


The Role:
The diversity recruiter will be responsible for sourcing women and underrepresented groups, with a focus on technology, financial services and sales backgrounds, as well as building and maintaining relationships with key diversity organizations. Additionally, the diversity recruiter will work closely with the recruiters covering various business units to develop innovative candidate assessment and recruiting strategies. He/she will work in partnership with business heads and other internal clients to establish and implement short- and long-term organizational diversity recruitment objectives and practices. The diversity recruiter will take a lead role in developing and managing relationships with affinity groups, community groups, nonprofit organizations and other institutions in an effort to further the firm's diversity mission. The diversity recruiter must manage the diversity recruiting budget and perform periodic cost and productivity analyses. The diversity recruiter is responsible for tracking and maintaining all records in relation to diversity hiring activity, helping to ensure that the hiring firm remains compliant with the U.S. EEOC.


Qualifications:

- Minimum of 7 years of experience in recruitment

- Extensive exposure to diversity recruitment preferred

- Bachelor's degree required


Responsibilities:

- Generate a pipeline of highly qualified diverse candidates at entry and experienced hire levels to be considered for key roles

- Become an expert on student groups and student communities on target campuses, and develop and maintain relationships with campus leaders

- Serve as point-of-contact for diverse student groups and interested students on campus, and assist in educating about Bloomberg and its opportunities

- Coordinate, plan and attend diversity events and presentations including monitoring of applicants, student and employee attendance and tracking hiring yields. Serve as a key representative assisting both attendees and representatives at events

- Work with entry and experienced level recruiting teams to identify business representatives to serve as speakers, panelists and interviewers, and coordinate Bloomberg's participation at diversity-based events. Prepare attendees for event expectations and responsibilities

- Identify and source from associations that attract diverse hires (i.e.: WIT, SHPE, ALPFA)

- Review and evaluate requests for corporate sponsorship and donations supporting school clubs/organizations as well as organizations.

- Serve as a contact for diverse candidates in the pipeline, conducting regular check-ins to keep candidates warm.

- Participate in special projects as required

- Perform related duties as assigned
