1) Knowledge of all relevant storage SAN/NAS solutions including but not limited to EMC, Isilon, IBM, Dell, HP and NetApp. Skills are needed to plan, and assist various users and departments in their purchasing and implementing needs.
2) Implement, maintain, monitor, performance tuning, and upgrade storage systems and fiber channel SAN infrastructure. Duties include racking and stacking, initial code update, yearly code maintenance, running fiber, fiber channel switch zoning, provisioning storage, and performance monitoring. Familiarity with EMC mid-tier storage, and Brocade fiber switches is a plus.
3) Implement, maintain, monitor, performance tuning and upgrade Network Attached Storage (NAS) environment. Duties include initial setup and managing CIFS/NFS server and shares, maintaining user and groups quotas, MS Windows and Unix permissions, and providing monthly usage reports. Familiarity with EMC Celerra and Isilon products is a plus.
4) Training Certification always a plus, and ability to maintain and keep current during employment.
5) Ability to lift 50 lbs.
