New Business Development Manager


The Cambridge Don has a strong client base and a diverse range of potential new clients in the non-profit area, all of whom have been referred to us via existing clients. We are looking for a New Business Development Manager to work closely with our CEO and COO in order to turn these referrals into active clients.


RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Evaluate business opportunities in cooperation with the CEO and COO, assist in formulating proposals, negotiating, and closing contracts

  • Represent The Cambridge Don and build market awareness by promoting Talent Chaser at key industry events and visiting clients regularly

  • SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in the sales of management information systems, a knowledge of HR information systems would be a distinct advantage as would experience in the non-profit arena

  • Driven by success and has an outstanding sales track record with a demonstrated ability to deliver results

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to present on technical topics in front of diverse audiences

  • A self-motivated and responsible individual, as demonstrated by past achievements in previous jobs

  • Ability to work independently with strong time management and prioritization skills

  • Ability to travel

  • REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business administration is required. A Master's degree would be beneficial.

  • Knows the business and the mission-critical technical and functional skills needed to do the job; understands various types of business propositions and understands how businesses operate in general; learns new methods and technologies easily.

  • Writes and presents effectively; adjusts to fit the audience and the message; strongly gets a message across.

Associate Director, Product Marketing - Applications

Job Summary:


As Illumina's Associate Director, Product Marketing - Applications you will be responsible for a team of market managers and product managers that drive all aspects of the product life cycle ranging from setting product definitions, pricing, leading product core teams and launch activities to ensure your products meet the high standards of Illumina. In addition to your direct management responsibilities, you will be responsible for managing and defining a portfolio of products that support all of Illumina's sequencing and microarray based applications. You will interact closely with other departments including Sales, Regional Marketing, R&D, Customer Support, Finance and Manufacturing.


Job Responsibilities:


•Responsible for determining and achieving revenue forecasts for DNA, gene expression and regulation product lines across

•Develop and implement strategic plans for both current and future DNA, gene expression and regulation applications.

•Interact with the Marketing Communications group to develop product messaging and implement tactical programs.

•Collaboratively work with the Field Organization and Regional Marketing on product launches, general communication and outbound marketing, and the development of Sales tools.

•Keep updated on competitor activities to define positioning and differentiators.


Education and Experience:


•Must have minimum of 10+ years of experience in a similar position including general experience in Life Sciences, Genomics or Pharmaceutical industries.

•Must have sales or customer facing experience.

•Must have proficient written, communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to both scientific and corporate audiences.

•Must have demonstrated team building and people management skills

•Must be independent and strategically minded.

•Experience with gene expression arrays, RT-PCR, and RNA-sequencing technology is highly desirable

•Minimum of 4 years relevant experience working with Marketing Programs.

•Willing to work in a fast paced environment.

•Excellent time and project management skills.

•Ph.D. or Masters in Biological Sciences, Genetics, Genomics or related field is highly desirable. MBA a plus.

•Must be willing to travel up to ~25%.

Sr. Product Engineer

Position Description:

As a Senior Product Engineer for Illumina’s Consumable Products, you will provide technical leadership in matters related to product development, quality and yield in a high volume production environment. You will work with Engineering, R&D, Bioinformatics, Quality, Customer Support and Production to advance products in the development pipeline and participate with development teams to monitor and improve the quality and yield for existing products. Technologies supported by the team are varied and include reagents, enzymes, oligonucleotides, surface chemistry, bioinformatics and software, various engineering disciplines (including mechanical, electrical and optical), digital microfluidics and more.

• Supports production areas with yield & quality monitoring, investigation, leadership and technical mentoring

• Analyzes production and QC data, test results, and issues reports and recommends technical guidance

• Works with Quality and product groups to resolve quality and reliability problems with customers

• Provides feedback of information to process owners and leads teams to resolve quality issues

• May provide team leadership to development teams


Education and Experience:


• BS/MS in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biotechnical Engineering or

• MS/PhD in Biochemistry, Physical Chemistry or Chemistry (with very strong mathematical and analysis skills) or

• PhD/MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Bioinformatics or equivalent

• Recent or near term college graduates are encouraged to apply

• At least three years of work experience in related industry is preferred

• High level computer skills and statistics knowledge are required

• Extremely good data analysis skills and a logical approach to problem solving are required

• Good interdepartmental communication skills and documentation skills are required

• Previous successful team leadership roles are preferred

• Biology and biochemistry knowledge strongly preferred

• Experience in manufacturing support/sustaining and transferring products from R&D to production preferred
