As a General Manager managing across functional areas (sales, personal training, reception, scheduling, retail, maintenance, etc.), you will be expected to monitor and manage your team's performance, both individually and collectively, and to develop the team through effective communication and collaboration. The daily routine will necessitate your ability to develop solutions to immediate goals and issues; however, the ideal GM will always maintain perspective of the gym's monthly and annual objectives and will keep others directionally focused on these larger goals.
