Job Description:
The Application Performance Management Administrator will be responsible for managing the Compuware suite of APR tools/ DCRUM Environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and support remote and wireless access
- Implement approved network changes in accordance with applicable procedures
- Test and evaluate network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements
- Proactively monitors network systems and facilities to detect service degradation and/or failures in power, communications equipment, software, or circuits
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks
Required Skills to Manage DCRUM Environment:
- Experience in implementing & supporting Compuware DCRUM / dynaTrace / Gomez modules in a distributed enterprise environment
- Good understanding of standard IT Infrastructure components like web / application / database servers etc.
- Good understanding of how IT Infrastructure components use the networking layer to communicate between each other
- Exposure to Infrastructure Monitoring and Application Performance Monitoring tools
- Exposure to debugging performance issues for clients using monitoring tools
- Ability to translate information presented in monitoring tools to a user-friendly format & provide indicators to application owners in improving their application performance
- Ability to analyze trends of usage and make recommendations to application owners
- Ability to design reporting templates with appropriate metrics, that would help application owners understand their environment better
- Ability to document and maintain customer requirements, application architecture, monitoring configurations performed etc.
- Exposure to architecture of ERP environments like SAP, PeopleSoft, Workday etc.
- Exposure to Linux and Windows server administration
- Exposure to .net or java development skillets
- Exposure to IIS / Apache / Tomcat / Web-sphere administration
