Experis Engineering is seeking an Electrical Engineer with expertise in design, development & testing of electronic control systems for race engines to start ASAP!!!

Position: Electrical Engineer

Required: BSEE and Electronic Control Systems

Duration: 6-month w/ possible Contract to Hire / Direct hire

The Electrical Engineers responsibilities includes software engineering, design, development & testing of all electronic control systems for race engines and drivelines including algorithm development and use of use of flow diagrams, pseudo and embedded code to produce software strategies.

Electrical Engineer - Requirements:

BS Degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in control systems preferred.

3-5 yr experience of Real time software and system design and validation experience.

Experience in the control system, design and application.

Experience with use of modeling, specifically MatLab/Simulink.

Strong analytical skills.

Knowledgeable in C and embedded software engineering related to real-time applications.

Good working knowledge of Matlab and Simulink for algorithm development and system validation.

Good working knowledge of PC-based software. .net, c# or equivalent.

Knowledge of test equipment, specifically dSpace HW & SW for Hardware In the Loop testing.

Rapid prototyping with associated HW & SW is an advantage.

Understanding of internal combustion engine mechanics and control with associated gearbox and chassis dynamics.

Knowledge of engine-related electronic control unit, ignition, switches, wiring harness systems also an advantage.

Must have first hand experience with IC (Internal Combustion) engine control and interfacing with gearbox and chassis components. i.e. clutches, differentials, loggers, sensors etc.

Some experience with Simulink and associated Mathworks tools to build and test real time embedded code

Strong desire to be familiar with testing and usage of dSpace test equipment or similar.

Very strong desire to have worked in the Motorsports field and able to gather information and work on the higher level goal of operating a race car.

Strong desire to have actually worked on McLaren hardware. The ECU's we are using are TAG400i and also TAG320. Specifically this means using the McLaren Electronics Graphical Development Environment (GDE
