About the Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Corporate Development Advisor to provide support across the enterprise in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and partnerships. This includes providing support and working cross functionally in the full cycle of a deal including market intelligence, developing a pipeline of targets, strategic analysis of fit, valuation, due diligence, risk assessment, managing acquisition/divestiture processes and deal execution. The chosen candidate will report to the Vice President of Corporate Development.


Responsibilities
* Research and summarize market conditions and developments

* Devise M&A strategies, and identify sectors and groupings of companies that might be viable business targets

* Prepare and present findings to senior executives. Structure and lead elements of the executive team's strategic priorities

* Conduct due diligence investigations into the financial and commercial state of target companies

* Develop investment models to support Corporate Development and M&A objectives. Partner with Corporate and Business Unit teams to develop appropriate financial assumptions.

* Participate in the contract negotiation process for target companies, and make recommendations for baskets of trades

* Provide input to colleagues on the deal team, including accountants and lawyers

* Strengthen the development of general strategic skills in the Corporate Development team and the broader organization by supporting recruiting, training and development of new hires and existing team members

* Ad hoc financial and accounting analysis to support the objectives of the Treasury, M&A and Corporate Development functions at ADS


Qualifications
Education:


* Bachelors degree preferably in Finance or related.

* Minimum of 2 years of transaction-related experience, preferably with an investment bank, private equity firm, strategy consulting firm or in corporate development. Candidates with due diligence experience with a top accounting firm would also be considered.

* Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including financial modeling, valuation and financial statement analysis.

* Demonstrated success and experience performing company and industry research.

* International experience a plus.

* Excellent verbal/written communication skills. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of key stakeholders, managers, and employees.

* Detailed oriented and highly organized.

* Critical thinking - using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

* Complex problem solving identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

* Strategic thinking.

* Ability to interact confidently with senior executives, business owners and financial intermediaries.

* Requires self-management, high degree of initiative and project management ability.

* Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

* Ability to travel.
