With offices in multiple state throughout the country, we are looking for a new Technology Leader to join our Los Angeles office. We are specifically looking for an individual that has experience in the Architecture or engineering services industry. We prefer a candidate with Engineering or Architecture background, such that they understand the functioning of the project team and how they utilize technology to service the client, as well as the organizational/admin/reporting needs related to technology supporting (and in some cases doing) the work.
Job Responsibilities:
* Work with Corporate Leadership to develop technology and network architecture strategies
* Lead the effort to develop Information Technology standards and procedures
* Lead the effort to develop firm-wide staff training programs based on current and future staff needs..
* Lead staff recruitment, supervision and development efforts.
* Work with Corporate Leadership to develop annual Information Technology budget.
* Serve as point-person for IT disaster recovery activities and preparedness exercises.
* Serve as an industry expert in the marketing of Information Technology capabilities and services to clients.
* Perform additional duties as deemed necessary or directed by the Chief Executive Officer.
Job Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Engineering, with relevant design industry experience; or equivalent combination of education and design industry experience
* Minimum ten years of professional experience in a full-service building design environment, with demonstrated leadership in Information Technology, preferred.
* In depth knowledge and experience in building design project processes, design technology applications, network architecture and information management.
* Ability to balance strategic thinking with “hands on” delivery of technology services.
* Ability to explain highly technical information to non-technical personnel.
Physical Requirements:
* Capable of traveling to and from various offices for business meetings.
* Visual acuity and physical dexterity to perform aforementioned typical duties.
* Ability to use appropriate business technology for communication and documentation purposes.
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.
