The Emergency RN provides direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting. Provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility and responsibility indicative of professional expectation with a minimum of supervision. Is able to triage safely, rapidly and accurately, every patient that enters the emergency care system. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. Communicates with Emergency Department physicians about changes in patients status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally they will participate in performance improvement, quality and service excellent activities.

Qualifications:

• Current RN License must be active and unrestricted for the State of California


• Current BLS certification required


• Current ACLS certification required


• Current CPI certification required


• Current PALS certification required


• 1 year of demonstrated experience in an acute care hospital setting


• 1 year ER experience.


• Fire and safety card must be presented upon hire or must be obtained at our facility within the first 30 days.


• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills


• Customer Focused


• Team Player


• Proficient computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)


• Bilingual Spanish/Russian/Korean is a plus
