Engineering Technician III / 4441

Position Description:


We are currently seeking a Engineering Technician III who will support Development Engineering in the design and development of pharmaceutical IV bags.


•Develops test methods that meet internal and external standards such as ISO, ASTM, and USP

•Composes test methods that include the integration of pictures, flow charts, and data sheets

•Develops, conducts, and evaluates Gage R&R studies on test methods

•Prepares specifications and protocols for development testing

•Designs and assembles test fixtures and measurement methods as directed by supervisor. Installs and debugs equipment as required.

•Assembles, operates, repairs, and debugs prototype processing equipment

•Routinely conducts testing under lab notebook studies or protocols utilizing good documentation practices

•Supports projects by contributing as a team member to the development of project schedules, costs, preparing status reports, attends team meetings and communicates issues and progress to team and management.

•Updates engineers on the status of activities and tracks specific project time consumption.

•Coordinates project activities with other departments or outside vendors.

•Routinely inputs raw data into Excel and provides data summaries including raw data location and basic analysis such as average and standard deviation

•Coordinate activities with other technicians and engineers

•Track and coordinate the calibration of lab equipment

•Research and coordinate the purchase of lab equipment


Required:

•Completion of an mechanical technologies program equivalent to a 2 year vocational school program or an AA degree and with at least 5-8 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of at least 10-12 years education and experience.


Desired:

•Bachelors degree preferred


Skills/Abilities:

•Proficiency with Word and Excel

•Ability to read, analyze and interpret ISO, ASTM, or USP test procedures

•Ability to write and execute test methods, protocols, and reports

•Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from engineers and managers

•Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

•Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

•Able to lift 50 pounds at least 50% of the time and work in a standing position


Preferred Qualifications:

•CQI, CQT, and CSSGG certifications from ASQ

•Familiarity with Excel pivot tables and charts

•Familiarity with MiniTab, LabVIEW, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD
