About the Opportunity
The Mgr, Compensation leads the design and implementation of compensation programs to drive a pay for performance culture and ensures that programs are current, competitive and in compliance with legal requirements. Main activities focus on solving business compensation related issues, supporting enterprise-wide compensation systems initiatives, supporting implementation of new plans to drive stronger alignment to business objectives.
Key responsibilities:
* Provide leadership across the business on major compensation-related initiatives linking programs to overall compensation philosophy and corporate programs.
* Partner with business owners and finance to create on a variety of compensation projects and initiatives.
* Lead execution of compensation programs such as annual salary review/merit process, equity and executive compensation programs.
* Create and maintain a compensation structure/philosophy. Prepare detailed job descriptions and classifications systems, define job levels and families, compile market data and establish pay parameters.
* Work with HR team, Finance, IT and business owners to implement processes, systems and tools to improve compensation administration, communication and analysis.
* Design and facilitate workshops to educate managers on compensation strategies and practices.
* Consolidate information and produce reports to be used for management decision making.
* Ensure proper documentation and audit processes are developed, approved and followed.
* May supervise and coordinate work activities of 1-2 compensation analysts.
Qualifications
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required
* 8+ years’ experience in compensation
* Experience leading compensation projects such as merit reviews, market analysis and annual pay programs
