Neurodiagnostics Manager

Provide daily oversight of technical process of neurodiagnostics planning, human resource management, financial accountability, regulatory compliance, and productivity management. Develop and implement the department specific tactical plan aligned with the overall neuroscience and hospital strategic plan. Collaborates with clinical, administrative, and medical staff to guide continual process improvement initiatives in the adoption of evidence-based practice. Provides oversight and direction to the areas of responsibility to support the prioritization and development of key initiatives. Assures that department is in compliance with regulatory compliance (e.g. JCAHO, CMS, payers etc.). Advises administrative staff on interventions to improve clinical, process, operational and service outcomes. Leads the efforts on program specialty credentialing within scope of role. Grows our diagnostic procedures area even more with addition of new services. Responsibilities: Oversees clinical practice of EEG Technologist/technician and Intraoperative Neurological monitoring technologist.. Responsible for the overall management of the departments daily operations to achieve quality improvement, fiscal productivity, and patient satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops and implements systems to ensure the quality, efficient, cost-effective operations which support and achieve goals and objectives of the clinical service lines assigned. Collaborates/benchmarks with other hospital systems including other Trinity Health Organization in the neurodiagnostic department to ensure optimal, efficient processes and care. Manages, develops, implements, and maintains the annual operating budget for the Neurodiagnostic, EMU, and IONM Department ensuring that operations are managed within established guidelines. This includes departmental overall budget, wage, supplies, and business growth. Manages the revenue cycle of the department including: process for charge entry, billing code changes and associated education. Promotes opportunities to enhance operating margin and/or reduce operating expense. Participates in ongoing quality, service and process monitoring, policy review, and performance improvement activities related to assigned service line. Makes continuous, service excellence focused improvements while balancing touch with technology. What will you need? Bachelors degree in health related field with a minimum of two years clinical related experience (Graduate of an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist (END) program preferred) Demonstrated leadership experience of one year required Current EEG, or CNIM registration with the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) or Certified Polysomnography certification Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
