Description: Manages the materials, supply chain, and Operations activities for the timely and cost effective introduction of a new product. Responsibilities include project management, NPI (prototype and pilot) materials management, and supplier activity management/monitoring to introduce new products into the GV supply chain on schedule, particularly at Contract Manufacturers. This position is responsible for working with the various groups associated with introducing a new product including Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Sourcing, Customer Service, etc. Responsible for working with associated departments to determine and implement the appropriate manufacturing, test, and supply chain strategies. Work closely with engineers to identify critical and long lead parts and to drive and manage the obtaining of these parts to meet schedule demands. Perform extensive follow up to make sure all parts are addressed sufficiently. Serves as Ops NPI Project Manager on multiple projects simultaneously. May also be involved in key sustaining activities. May require some travel ( Requirements: B.S. Engineering (e.g. mechanical, electrical, industrial) degree with 5 to 10 years relevant industry experience. Experienced with timely and quality product introductions at a CM in a high-tech electronics environment, particularly with PCBA introductions. Experienced with materials planning and management in a new product environment. Demonstrated Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering experience. Knowledge of ECR/ECO process in an electronics manufacturing environment. Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Knowledgeable with bills of materials structure and LEAN manufacturing principles. Strong communication skills along with excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Strong project management skills. Experienced with Document Control practices. Experience with SAP is preferred.
