Recruiting Program Manager

Amazon - where builders can build! We’re looking for an analytical, inventive, experienced project and program manager to help build our global shared services recruiting organization. Amazon’s Global Talent Acquisition (GTA) organization has grown exponentially to support Amazon’s recruiting needs and this role manages strategic recruiting programs that impact recruiters and hiring managers across the globe. Currently this role supports four recruiting programs and also has additional support from our HR shared services team in India. However, one of the key strategic challenges for this role is determining resourcing and budget to support a growing organization hungry for recruiting solutions that drive productivity and ROI. Though the role has great opportunity to expand its scope, this year the focus will be on one of these four strategic programs:

1. Developing and managing our recruiting technology and vendor solutions: Here the role will partner with our recruiting-specific in-house development team to build recruiting solutions from scratch and also integrate vendor solutions. This includes driving our strategy on a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system for recruiting and also managing relationships with critical vendors such as LinkedIn, Monster, Dice, and iCIMS. Additionally, a major project will be redefining our source of hire pocess and developing a ROI model for Amazon globally on value of sources.

2. Managing our agency and RPO programs: This involves managing our contingent and retained direct placement recruiting strategies as well as determining our approach for Recruiting Process Outsourcing (RPO). Focus here this year will be around building operational excellent in our India shared services team and determining outsourcing opportunities to drive efficiencies.

3. Driving our approach for temporary/contract labor in partnership with our Vendor Management System through Allegis: of particular importance is helping Allegis develop a global roadmap for support in Europe, India, China, Japan, and emerging markets.

4. Transforming our Employee Referral Program: Employee referrals is an active program at Amazon but lacks the tools and automation to make the most importance source of candidates reflective of the Amazon-branded customer experience. Major initiatives here will include creating white-glove type service for referrals and referrers without increasing manual work and driving global consistency in referrals program management.


Key attributes for the role:

· Strong command of data and analytics; uses data to influence change with clients and builds strong ROI cases for investment of resources (funding, headcount, technology solutions)

· Has a global mindset; excellent ability to partner with a wide variety of clients including our talent acquisition leaders across the globe (US, EU, Asia, India, etc.)

· Passionate advocate for candidate experience; constantly thinks about how to improve the experience for candidates and influences clients to consider candidates as Amazon customers

· Creative thinker; builds and drives innovative strategies to improve candidate generation through vendor tools and recruiting technology solutions

· Process oriented; creates standardized recruiting processes at all points in the candidate life cycle to improve recruiting efficiency

· Exceptional personal bias for action; acts as a highly productive project manager for complex global projects

· Adept vendor management skills; partners with Amazon procurement to ensure vendors such as LinkedIn, Dice, Monster, Allegis, iCIMS etc. are continually improving customer service and driving value for Amazon globally


· Bachelor’s degree in an applicable discipline such as Business or Mathematics or Human Resources


· Advanced degree (MBA or other applicable advanced degree)

· 5+ years of dedicated recruiting experience, focused in recruiting programs and/or recruiting technology
