Senior Research Associate Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a Senior Research Associate to join our client in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Job Responsibilities:

- This successful candidate will support discovery research.

- The technical tasks include performing procedures on laboratory rodents such as handling, dosing via multiple routes (IV, IP, PO, SC), clinical health assessments, biologic sample collection and necropsy.

- Additional tasks may include assisting with development of novel in vivo research models and surgical technique.

- Additional molecular biological, biochemical, and cellular technique may be required.

- The individual will also be responsible for review and compliance with all applicable SOPs, business practices and company policies.

Job Qualifications:

- The candidate must have an undergraduate degree in life sciences such as biology, biochemistry, pharmacology or similar and five to ten (5 - 10) years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry and/or an academic laboratory.

- Candidate should also have experience in cell culture technique and basic biochemical assays including Western blotting and ELISA.

- Experience with in vivo oncology models (e.g. xenograft, orthotopic/ectopic, syngeneic, PDX) a plus.

- A successful candidate will possess good written and oral communication skills, the ability to work well in teams, demonstrated technical aptitude and a strong work ethic.

- Good organizational skills and excellent attention to detail are vital to this position.

- Experience handling and performing basic manipulations with laboratory rodents is a must.

- Familiarity with basic biochemical assays is required. Familiarity with oncology disease models is a plus.
