JOB DESCRIPTION The development team is seeking a Senior Software Developer with strong experience in the Open Source application development life cycle. You will be tasked with developing highly performant and secure applications utilizing a variety of technologies and third-party services. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Design and develop features for our industry leading administrative platform ? Design and implement interfaces for interaction with upstream and downstream partners ? Consult on and develop application workflows ? Design and develop strategies for the deployment of key services ? Take ownership of projects and drive them to completion on schedule EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: ? BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, and/or demonstrated industry experience on similar successful projects REQUIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE: ? Strong desire to develop and innovate new technology ? Strong Experience with MVC Frameworks and patterns ? Expert knowledge of one or more Open Source development languages, with a preference for Python ? Expert knowledge of one or more RDBMS platforms, with a preference for PostGres ? Strong knowledge of NoSQL/Big Data, with a preference for MongoDB ? Strong knowledge of version control systems, with a preference for Git ? Strong knowledge of REST and JSON ? Strong knowledge of testing strategies at the unit and application levels ? Experience with EDI standards a plus ? Working knowledge of AWS, cloud computing, SaaS, PaaS, messaging, and client side frameworks is a plus ? Excellent analytical skills ? 5+ Years professional programming experience ? A self-starter with a positive attitude and the drive to do excellent work ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills. ? Comfort working with resources across disciplines in a start-up atmosphere and at all client levels.
