This position is necessary to meet Underwriting Servicesâ needs to produce timely member materials (id cards and plan documents), administer products within the UHC NV CRM, member eligibility and other systems, support the production of HPN/SHL Group Enrollment Agreements, and carry out the additional tasks required by the Affordable Care Act, including but not limited to ACR product administration, regular data submission to federal and state agencies, maintenance and use of legislated templates relating to products, benefits, and rating, and assuring and/or coordinating ACA compliance. This person will supervise five FTEs in these areas of responsibility.


Candidates should possess:

Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, in various types of settings (i.e. one on one, cross functional project teams, or in larger groups).

Leadership and supervisory skills necessary to manage staff and project groups.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, and database modeling tools such as SQL, XML and VBA . Ability to use these tools to extract, analyze, and present data to upper management or others as requested.

Willingness to learn, and the ability to organize and/or influence resources to effectively problem solve.


Qualifications:


Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in business systems design and analysis, business operations workflow design and implementation, and systems QA testing required.

2+ years of Supervisory experience required.

Bachelorâs Degree (or higher) required.

2+ years of experience in underwriting, contract compliance or managed healthcare operations is preferred.

Intermediate to Expert level of Excel skills.


Assets (nice to haves)

Project management experience

Knowledge of practices and procedures relating to underwriting/rating, benefit plan documents and the design, implementation and maintenance of the systems used to support them.
