Illumina is seeking a Business Systems Analyst with expertise in Endpoint Management Technologies including endpoint protection and client management solutions. This role will be responsible for administrative support ensuring devices are actively managed and protected. This individual will collaborate with Desktop Support, Desktop Engineering and Network Security teams to meet IS operational requirements and requests. Experience in a global company dealing with multiple locations preferred.
Duties
• Subject Matter Expert for assigned systems and technologies.
• Provide day to day maintenance and operational support including scheduled maintenance outages.
• Works on a cross-functional team to implement scalable and sustainable systems.
• Participates in testing, installing new software releases and application system upgrades.
• Validates system functionality after changes.
• Research, evaluate and recommend solutions and vendors.
• Actively manages the life-cycle for enterprise applications.
• Monitors and fine tunes the application system to achieve optimum performance levels.
• Performs assessments and listens to internal customers to understand and anticipate their needs and determined their priorities in the context of the overall enterprise and strategy
• Act as a Tier-3 support for assigned systems 7x24x365
• Proactively develops and maintains technical knowledge in a specialized area, remaining up-to-date on current trends and best practices.
Requirements
• 2 years minimum working experience in Client Management, Endpoint Protection and Systems Management/Application Administration.
• Proficiency in scripting languages i.e. Power Shell, VBscript and Command Scripts
• Solid understanding of standard client/server, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and internet fundamentals.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively amongst multiple priorities.
• Ability to communicate to all levels of end users, IS and Management staff.
• Experience in a regulated environment.
• Works well with users at all site locations.
• In depth knowledge of Windows Desktop Operating Systems, Windows Server Operating Systems and IIS.
• SQL Knowledge for Data Analysis is a plus.
• On-call flexibility, including, unplanned and planned maintenance and outages
• Demonstrated writing skills for creating run books, functional and configuration specifications
Education
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Business or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
