Commodity Specialist - New Product Development

A Kforce client located in Farmington Hills, Michigan (MI) is currently looking for a Commodity Specialist.

Functions Include:

• 
  


• Manage CRRs for RFQ distribution


• 
  


• Review pricing; select vendor / pricing target; and share with manufacturing engineering and engineering


• 
  


• Act as liaison between engineering and vendors


• 
  


• Send ECNs to vendors


• 
  


• Take down meeting minutes and follow action items from any vendor meetings


• 
  


• Maintain BOM Spreadsheet to ensure all data is accurate and complete (vendors, pricing, POs, dates, etc.)


• 
  


• Release POs for tooling and FAs


• 
  


• Track tooling FAs and update a BOM Spreadsheet with status of approved parts as well as sample submission dates


• 
  


• Report status of tooling FAs to the Team


• 
  


• Communicate layout approval / rejections to vendors with help of William Chu for Asian vendors


• 
  


• Receive in Tooling POs when appropriate


• 
  


• Keep track of tooling spend against A/R value


• 
  


• Facilitate Co-Development with vendor(s)


• 
  


• Create; run; and make award decisions for E-Source events


• 
  


• Add pricing; vendor info; order info; etc. in Baan for transition to SDS


• 
  


• Support Supplier Development Specialist with any purchasing issues (problems with MOQs, etc.)


•
