Control Engineer - C/C++, Matlab or Simulink, Automotive
We are a well-known, public, and global company that is expanding our engineering to the Detroit area! We currently have about 50 employees in our Detroit area office and we are looking to hire a few more! If you are a Controls Engineer with an expertise in C/C++ and Matlab or Simulink, and love thinking outside the box, coming up with new ideas, brainstorming, and using your creativity to find solutions, then please read on and apply!
This is a long term contract position (12+ months).
What you need to apply:
* 3-5+ years as a Control Engineer
* Expert in 2 of the following technologies: Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow, C/C++, Labview/Labwindow
* Familiarity with basic control theory
* Bachelor's Degree is required
Pluses include:
* DSP experience
* Programming of vehicle control devices
* Familiar with adaptive cruise control, electronic stability control, automatic emergency braking, active safety systems etc.
What you will be doing:
* Develop new vehicle control applications and conduct in-lab and in-vehicle tests
* Create new application ideas and explore new technologies
* Conduct test drives for application tuning and/or debugging
* Oversee electrical wiring and mechanical installations
* Work directly with internal teams and vendors
* Research and make recommendations as necessary
