Data Informatics Specialist



Description

The Specialist - Data Informatics position will contribute to Tenet's overall informatics value programs, which seek to enhance business process management through the blending of health care systems data and business intelligence technologies. The Program provides a value framework, and associated tools and measurement capabilities to realize benefits from the development and implementation of clinical systems. The Value Realization program provides guidance to the company on the impacts of technologies, thru the use of data and data reflective tools. The Specialist - Data Informatics is an integral position within the VR team that will provide direct guidance to the team on best practices or develop with the team best practices that ensure optimal designs and use of Business Intelligence tools. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams and utilize advanced clinical systems; BI and database technologies to establish best practice methodologies then provide tools, reports, and analytics that will enable our hospitals to achieve their business objectives.


Identify and validate the data elements and data sources required to meet Tenet Business and regulatory monitoring requirements.

Key responsibilities in the delivery of the team objectives:

Documentation and management of key methodologies including those for technical requirements, data definitions and data lineage

Facilitate data mapping between BI environments and application data stores

Lead change management efforts for future CMS Meaningful Use and Tenet specific measures

Develop functional (user) requirements and use cases to support design of end user reports and BI reporting tools

Collaborate with Tenet Quality Improvement and BI Development resources in the design and delivery of reports and reporting tools for CMS Meaningful Use and VR measures


Qualifications


Bachelor's degree communication or related healthcarefield. Masters preferred. A minimum of 2 years

A minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience in analytics and reporting along with clinical implementations, or other technical health care programs experience. Significant technical experience in business intelegence, analytics reporting or systems integration will be considered.


Candidate experience should include a balance of healthcare business, clinical decision support, health analytics, strategic and operational planning, and data warehousing experience.

Must have good managerial skills; ability to navigate complex organizations in a diplomatic fashion; possess effective conflict resolution skills; and have the ability to work within a heavily matrixed organization.
