Description
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for planning, directing, controlling, and monitoring all functions of the Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Services Department. Aspects include budgeting, purchasing, interviewing and evaluation of employees, and quality improvement. Director plays a critical role in the programmatic development of services offered by the department and the marketing and outreach of those services to the medical community. Supervises the administration of care to patients referred to the department for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Hyperbarics, Wound Care and Sports Medicine by direct and in-direct means. Provides evaluation and treatment to patients. Responsible for completion of written documentation on patient evaluation and treatment.
Qualifications
Licensure/certification/registration: Must possess a Masters degree from an accredited college or university in Physical Therapy. Must have accreditation with national organizations. Must have a license to practice under their profession in the state of Texas or be eligible for one. Must possess a valid and current CPR card.
Experience required: Five years experience as a practicing Physical Therapist with at least two years of supervisory experience. Must have a thorough working knowledge of the accepted practices, procedures and techniques applicable to the practice of Rehabilitation Services and Sports Medicine.
