CAMP ROBERTS INFORMATION SYSTEMS TECHNOLOGIST LEAD


SUMMARY: The Information Systems Technologist Leadprovides advanced technical contribution and supervision to the daily operations of the Shoot-House live-fire facility at Camp Shelby, MS. He/she a nalyzes, installs and configures applications; troubleshoots network problems, and monitors and evaluates complex system performance. The Information Systems Technologist Team Lead makes a strong contribution to the Shoot-House task order and ensures complex milestones are successful completed for each mission. * Position Contingent Upon Award *


MISSION: The Company will provide support to the Automated Shoot House (ASH) at Camp Roberts by providing Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) and repairing unserviceable components (i.e., scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance resulting from live-fire training). Provide the services and material necessary for implementation of exercise planning, ASH system preparation, initialization, system shutdown and inspection, various types of target maintenance support to meet the requirements of the Government-provided training exercise schedules.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Establishes operational database; software configuration controls and system interfaces for computer system(s) assigned.

  • Analyzes and provides documentation of the system specifications, including system scripts, system installation procedures, system backup and recovery techniques and system test methods.

  • Designs and implements new methods, procedures, and systems (both automated and manual) to improve the processing and flow of information.

  • Conducts and provides cost/benefit analyses for new proposed program modifications, methods, and procedures.

  • Maintains file servers and network access; documents and analyzes system anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance.

  • Performs technical duties/tasks during surge periods or other periods of personnel shortage and performs other related tasks of similar complexity as directed.

  • Must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals in English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Must possess a strong desire to provide excellent customer service solutions and interact with coworkers and clients in a courteous and professional manner.

  • Performs other related tasks of similar complexity as directed.


Required Skills


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:



  • Associate's Degree, plus equivalent experience in computer networking, required.

  • Minimum of two (2+) or more years' of relevant experience in computer networking, required.

  • Minimum of two (2+) or more years' experience in system analysis and/or systems development.

  • Former Military experience, a plus.

  • Experience using common hand tools in making repetitive repairs under loose supervision; experience which demonstrates the ability to perform simple and routine duties of the trade.

  • Basic computer/PC knowledge required including; spreadsheet software, word processing software and knowledge of MS Office Suite.

  • Valid driver's license, current vehicle registration and certificate of insurance is required for privately owned vehicles seeking permission to access Camp Roberts

  • Frequently lifts and moves heavier items with the assistance of other workers or with lifting devices such as jacks hoists and cranes.

The work environment varies and includes, but is not limited to; office space, equipment rooms, warehouse space, construction zones, field conditions, and outdoor environments. Work hours may fluctuate outside of normal duty hours. Travel is not anticipated for this position. If travel is required, candidate must have a valid driver's license and three (3) years' clean driving record for this position. Employee must complete required driver's training and follow all Authorized Driver policies and procedures regarding approved vehicle usage.
