AMC has a 96.5% quality rating (which exceeds state and national averages) and is a regional Level I Trauma Center that receives patients from 67 other hospitals.

This position, while based at Atlanta Medical Center, oversees the case management functions at both Atlanta Medical Center and Atlanta Medical Center South. Coordinates, monitors, and manages the clinical, educational and financial matters of the department. Maintains, enhances and builds relationships with referral sources, physicians, and payor sources.


Some of the duties include:


1. Communicates with and provides direction to staff to effectively resolve problems and concerns within the department at Atlanta Medical Center and Atlanta Medical Center South.

2. Develop skill competency measurements and assists both professional and non professional in upgrading clinical skills and case management knowledge base.

3. Participates in the assessment and appropriate referral of staff education needs. Able to speak and education regarding Tenet's Case Management Program. Monitors Admit RN process.

4. Ensures compliance with standards established by JCAHO and HCFA.

5. Networks with physicians and nurse managers to ensure expectations are met.

6. Maintains personal contact via management rounds in order to assess customer satisfaction and quality of services rendered by nursing staff monitors Tenet's Case Management Program by attending Patient Care Conferences and Complex Case Meetings.

7. Participates in Performance Management teams.


Qualifications


Position requires BSN degree and GA RN license with previous experience within a hospital's case management department. Management experience preferred.
