Market Sector Leader - Gaming and Hospitality

^ Utilize candidates current, initiate new, and maintain existing contacts with key clientele and industry representatives, organizations and companies in the Gaming and Hospitality market sectors serviced by the LEO A DALY Las Vegas office.

Demonstrate creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving complex problems, determining Gaming and Hospitality program objectives and requirements, organizing short- and long-range plans, programs and projects, and developing strategies and guidance for the development of relationships that lead to opportunities and the successful contracting of architectural/engineering/interiors/planning projects.

Working with the Omaha Director of Business Development; manage the business development team responsible for identifying, attracting, and retaining new and current Gaming and Hospitality clientele.

Working with the Omaha Director of Business Development; oversee activities related to Gaming and Hospitality public relations, direct mail, tradeshows, publishing and special events and develop a qualified and applicable approach for proposal and presentation functions.

Working with the Omaha Director of Business Development; evaluate Gaming and Hospitality campaigns for effectiveness and implement changes and improvements to broaden penetration of the market sector; observe impacting trends and make recommendations to enhance the firms image on the basis of those trends.

Establish, implement and maintain the Gaming and Hospitality business development budget and business development plan.

Working with the Omaha Director of Business Development; manage internal and external communication in relation to Gaming and Hospitality branding, public relations and advertising; initiate customer feedback on proposals and presentations.

Assist the Managing Principal and Director of Operations in determining the personnel needs for the various Gaming and Hospitality pursuit teams and individual projects based upon the current and projected workload.

Strategize with Project Managers in evaluating scope, complexity, and scheduling requirements of Gaming and Hospitality projects; validate work planning strategies to ensure successful project execution.

Develop and lead not only the LEO A DALY Las Vegas team in Gaming and Hospitality Business Development interests, but also peers and partners toward common goals and strategic objectives.

Lead and has responsibility for securing the right documentation in order to perform due diligence process, reviewing Gaming and Hospitality agreements prior to execution, making recommendations based on industry research and analysis and developing Gaming and Hospitality Request for Proposals (RFPs).

This individual reports to the Managing Principal of the office, supervises the marketing and business development staff of the Las Vegas office and works closely with the operations staff.

The Las Vegas office of LEO A DALY regularly works with other offices of the Company. Candidate must collaboratively partner and work share with these remote offices.


Qualifications


Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from an accredited college or university required. Masters is a plus.

Designation as LEED® accredited senior professional is a plus.

Degree in Business or Marketing is a plus.

Professional expertise demonstrated through 15+ years of related experience within the architecture/design industry, preferably with mid- to large-size A/E firm experience; progressive experience as an Architect required, and in Business Development/Marketing is a plus.

Registration as an Architect in the state of Nevada is required.

Experience in the design and construction of a variety of facilities for both Native American and corporate clients, including casinos, restaurants, hotels, hospitality venues, and mixed-use complexes.

Experience in assignments that have included master land planning, feasibility studies, programming, cost/benefit analyses, design, and project management.

Direct involvement in fast-track design, Design-Build experience, and contract administration experience is a requirement.

The LEO A DALY company pursues projects in a large variety of market sectors: Aviation, Cultural, Education / Higher, Engineering Civil, Engineering - MEPS&FP/LS, Gaming, Government, Healthcare, Interiors, International, Libraries, Office / Retail, and Residential / Hospitality. Experience in the Gaming and Hospitality markets is a requirement. Experience in the other markets is a plus.

Demonstrated ability to effectively and persuasively communicate and promote ideas and campaigns to clientele, business representatives and company personnel.

Ability to build extensive and reputable relationships with clients and community members within the Las Vegas metro area and throughout the State of Nevada; familiarity with the Las Vegas metro area is a requirement.

Demonstrates ability to promote and establish teamwork and individual leadership within the business development team and develop creative and original Gaming and Hospitality marketing campaigns.

Software proficiency in use of Microsoft Office applications; experience with Deltek Vision CRM is a plus.

Excellent time management and organization skills; ability to multi-task.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Strong leadership and self-motivation skills and abilities.

Exceptional client management, customer service orientation, writing and presentation skills.

Strong communication skills and works well in a collaborative and collegial work environment.

The position requires established skills in business development and negotiation of critical issues.

Must have a proven track record in negotiating new relationships/deals that meet revenue, profitability and strategic goals.

Active leader and member of varied professional organizations is a plus.

Strong community affiliations are a plus.
