Physician Anesthesiology Pain

Description:

1. Provides clinical oversight to Anesthesia Pain Management Team.2. Participate in the interview, selection, orientation, development of clinical staff and providers.3. Supervision/evaluation of provider staff for compliance with all SMA/SHS policies and procedures, state and federal regulations, and standards of practice to ensure quality of care.4. Provide direct patient care including development of patient diagnosis and treatment plans for patients referred into the Pain Management Department.5. Oversight of the development and implementation of patient-centered care plans.6. Perform invasive pain management therapies as deemed appropriate7. Participates with RN Team Leaders to coordinate and communicate re: patients across all venues of care.8. Ensures cost effective use of resources9. Participate in Multi-disciplinary Pain Management Team meetings10. Ensure excellent communication and cooperation with the rest of the Multi-disciplinary Pain Management Team.Receives direction from Surgical Specialties Division Chief. Gives direction to: Providers re: medical practice issues within Anesthesia Pain Management Department. Works cooperatively with: Physican Chief of Industrial and Preventive Medicine, other members of the Multi-disciplinary Pain Management Team, primary care physicans, referring specialty physicians, RN Clinical Director, Division Business Director and Support Services Supervisor. Supports the overall vision of a Positive Patient Experience by achieving a positive balance of healthcare, cost outcomes and patient satisfaction on Pain Management Team. Facilitates quality of care, excellent customer satisfaction while achieving team specific financial goals. Supports SMA and network physicians by providing leadership and promoting collaboration with internal and external team members. Ensures that care meets the individualized goals of the treatment plan.


Qualifications:


MD/DO with board certification (or Board eligibility with anticipated certification within the next 2 years) in anesthesiology and licensed to practice by the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners.Prior practice in a multi-disciplinary pain management practice is strongly preferred.
