The Program Director is responsible for Chairing the P-16 Council and for coordinating services for Dual Credit and ECHS through the Council. The Director will coordinate District-wide policies/procedures for Dual Credit and ECHS (Early College High School). The Director of P-16 Initiatives, at their request, will make periodic reports to the Academic Deans', Workforce Deans' Council and combined Deans' Council. Direct the HCC-NW Dual Credit Program and the HCC-NW-Early College Program.

Responsibilities
The Director is responsible for representing the District at local and state meetings, serving as the HCC representative on state Dual Credit and ECHS initiatives, and for being the point of contact for external questions related to Dual Credit and ECHS.
Chair the HCC P-16 Council for the District.
Coordinate HCC services for Dual Credit and ECHS through the P-16 Council (ensuring representation from all HCC Colleges).
Coordinate District-wide policies/procedures for Dual Credit and Early College High Schools (ECHS).
Represent the District, as requested, at local and state P-16 meetings.
Making periodic reports, as requested, to the Academic Deans' Council, the Workforce
Represent HCC on state Dual Credit and ECHS initiatives.
Serving as HCC liaison and point of contact for external questions related to Dual Credit and ECHS.
Direct the HCC-NW Dual Credit Program with Spring Branch ISD, Katy ISD and HISD's Westside High School along with private and charter schools.
Serve as the primary contact between HCC-NW and schools, prepare directions for Dual Credit students, hold orientations for Dual Credit students and help student through the Dual Credit processes.
Work with HCC-NW Department Chairs to create CRNs, staff faculty members and assist faculty members in their relations with the schools.
Direct the HCC-NW/Spring Branch ISD Early College Program, helping them through all of the processes, working with SBISD on payment, monitoring all aspects of the Early College Program, and arranging/coordinating College Success Seminars for the ECP students.
Serve on appropriate committees.
Other duties may be assigned.

Education Requirements
Master's degree from an accredited institution in academics required.
Certification Requirements
Experience Requirements
Minimum of three (3) years of college teaching experience.
Experience in Dual Credit.
Experience working in diverse situations and with diverse groups of people.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of the workings and organization of American high schools.
Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communications and inter-personal skills.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task.
Adaptability and flexibility.
Ability to take the initiative and follow through.
