Program Manager

Our client is a Tier I automotive supplier that is based in the metro Detroit area. Due to continued growth in their business, they have a need for a Program Manager.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities:


* Creates program timing charts to present customer expectations for Executive Management review and to initiate APQP activities

* Visits plant facility for launching activities as needed

* Holds cross functional open issues meetings to track program issues and maintain Tier and OEM timing

* Fields customer complaints that pertain to production delivery, quality, capacity and communication issues. Effectively dissolves issues to maintain brand image and retain customer goodwill

* Manages product development timing from design concept through product life, including, but not limited to, protecting customer interests. This is achieved by advising key customer product characteristics and trying to maintain product integrity

* Receives, prices and manages timing on all Non-Production orders to include pre-production orders, production even-up orders and past model service orders

* Receives customer drawing data and processes internal costing worksheets to determine cost variance of proposed data

* Quotes engineering changes to customer

* Tracks all engineering changes on change matrix

* Facilitate implementation of cost / continuous improvement projects while managing customer expectations

* Manages new product developments as they relate to targeted programs
