Senior Regional Strategic Manager



Responsibilities

Maximizes regional sales and revenue through the management of the deal making process from beginning to end. Responsible for enabling the prioritization and execution of large sales opportunities and strategies within an assigned region. Manages one or more RSAE's. Functions as the business intelligence of the region; often accountable for the overall scope of regional deals which are very complex, strategic, and large revenue producing by nature. Has established a trusted advisor relationship with the regional RVP, Sales Directors & PCM/Legal and is considered an integral and contributing resource to the regions success in achieving assigned metrics. Job typically requires the ability to conduct front line customer facing negotiations on terms/conditions/pricing, to matrix manage resources effectively to accomplish stated goals and requires ability to escalate within the company with credibility at director and above levels. Operates with ability to complete an assignment with little to no supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment. Is responsible for hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews. Typically reports to the Regional Strategic Account Development - Director (RSAD). Usually requires 9 years sales experience or 5-8 years of supervisory experience in a related discipline.


Qualifications


Prioritization of large sales opportunities for the region; activities related to large deal management and overseeing the regions’ Strategic Accounts.


Acts as the POC for regional big deal escalations. Interface with the segment’s Strategic Services team to drive and close deal escalations requiring SVP involvement.


Ensures alignment of internal resources to make certain consistency and support on complex, strategic, large revenue opportunities in an effort to drive closure.


Utilize strong financial management skills by evaluating sales opportunities, ROI and EBITA for large opportunities within the region.


Organizes and manages special needs and drives issues to resolution. Effectively matrix-manages cross functional areas to close custom solutions.


Engages in strategy sessions with sales director/mgr to ensure the accurate production of business case, appropriate interaction with BD, and coordination of Legal and Presales in delivering an executable contract.


Leadership:


Receives direction in the form of objectives and determines appropriate use of resources to reach goals and is accountable for functional area. Has direct staff management and budget accountabilities. Typically has 4 to 8 direct reports.


Responsible for the leadership of a team in the execution of organizational goals or area strategies and is accountable in terms of cost and operational strategy. Develops short and long term plans and objectives. May design policies, programs and objectives and manage implementation.


Advanced skills to perform complex work for a functional area and general knowledge of other areas; requires independent thinking; demands full use and application of principles, theories, concepts and technologies. Degree preferred and a minimum of 9 years experience in a related discipline or 5 - 8 years of supervisory experience.


Travel may be required.
