| Amazon is looking for an experienced leader to support Amazon's relationships with publishers of eBooks as they add selection to Kindle. Key activities for this role include managing a team of 2-3 vendor managers engaged in negotiating new agreements, developing and managing strategic projects to help drive the Kindle content business forward, enabling new content opportunities, and managing publisher relationships to drive operating results. *LI-MA3 |
| Basic Qualifications |
| Basic Requirements: - 5-7 years of relevant business development experience required. - Bachelor's degree required. - Experience working in digital content acquisition roles - Negotiations and contracts management experience, licensing experience a plus - Has strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and overall relationship management. - Proven analytical thinking, leadership, problem solving, project management skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills are musts. -Experience managing a team of 3-4 business development professionals. - Candidate must be an effective communicator to all levels in the organization in both oral and written formats. |
| Preferred Qualifications |
| Preferred Requirements: - MBA preferred - Familiarity with the consumer internet industry in a professional context - Consulting or prior experience in problem solving/analytical role preferred - Knowledge of publishing, Internet or other media industries a plus |
