Sports Media Company - Manager, Accounting (2 of 2)

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's degree is a plus, CPA is preferred.

Minimum of six (6) years of accounting experience with at least two (2) years of experience at a Senior Accountant level preparing general ledgers and financial statements.

Minimum of two (2) years supervisory (teams/projects) experience.

Candidates must be self-motivated and able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks, handle deadline pressures, and exhibit a team player attitude at all times.

Demonstrated initiative and a willingness to increase knowledge and take on additional responsibilities.

The well-qualified candidate will have had roles demonstrating leadership and strong communication skills.

Strong execution skills, advanced analytical skills, and significant technical accounting skills; proficient in MS Office - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

The successful candidate will place a high emphasis on teamwork, collaboration, data analysis, and process innovation.

Public and private accounting, Sarbanes-Oxley reporting, and PeopleSoft experience are not required but are desirable.

Duties: The Content & Other Revenue team supports the domestic accounting activities for more than 50 ancillary revenue streams in the subscription, advertising, content, and miscellaneous revenue categories for Turner Broadcasting's entertainment, animation, news, corporate, and sports businesses. As part of this process, the team is responsible for analyzing agreements to ensure the proper and consistent accounting treatment of revenue and related expenses across the company's different business units.
