These are extremely important positions, and only the best of the best will be interviewed. Qualified candidates will have SQL 2008R2 or above, ability to build complex T SQL, and understand data modeling. Candidates must have performance and tuning knowledge, basic indexing strategies, and best practices for performance issues. DBA aspects are also important as well as physical layout experience, clustering, and high availability.
SQL Server development is also important, large SQL Server Installations and hosted installations is ideal, with experience handling issues around backup, high availability, and charting.
Qualified SQL DBA / Developer candidates must have:
- SQL Server 2012+, SQL stored procedures, user defined functions, cursors and query batches
- Database design, development and management
- Data modeling
- Analyzing business processes and performing in-depth work analyses
- Strong self-initiative
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively in a team environment
