• Provide general technical guidance to the SQA Staff in the analysis, design, testing, and deployment of all SunGard Wall Street Concepts (WSC) applications.
• Perform manual and automated testing against the QA and production environments, create and maintain QA test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
• Build and deploy code releases using in-house utilities (in Linux bash and perl) in support of SQA and UAT-testing cycles and production deployments.
• Identify and manage new tools, technologies, processes to improve reliability, repeatability, efficiency of builds and releases (e.g., adoption of agile methodology and JIRA toolset).
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related area required, or the equivalent of education and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of SQA experience, with at least 3 years spent in a technical lead role preferable.
• Knowledge manual testing concepts and software life cycle process.
• Experienced in the design and development of test scenarios and test cases.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving, and debugging skills.
• Training and/or 5+ years hands on experience of relational databases with excellent command of SQL and essential database administration skills (Sybase, MySQL).
• Training and/or 5+ years hands-on experience of UNIX/Linux systems, shell/perl scripting.
• Training and/or 5+ years hands-on experience using QA automation tools, e.g. HP/QTP & Load Runner, Oracle/e-Tester & e-Load, SoapUI/Pro, Linux bash, Perl LWP or Mechanize.
• 3+ years hands-on experience with source control, configuration, build, and release management for Java-based web applications, Linux shell/perl/ruby scripts, and database objects.
• Knowledge and experience using defect tracking and version control tools. (Bugzilla, Subversion).
• Must be self-motivated; able to work independently on any given project, and learn the in-house build management system with limited supervision.
• Able to work extended and/or flexible working hours, when required.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Competency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
