Position Title: Windows Server Engineer
CGS is seeking for a Jr. Windows Server Engineer to join our Managed Services Group.
-Server systems administration duties across an enterprise-class information systems to include web servers, database servers, application servers, mail servers, etc.
-Configure and maintain servers, storage systems, and applications, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability and security
-Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems on an on-call rotation basis
-Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours
-Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
-Participate in the software development process as necessary, providing operational infrastructure designs and recommendations as required
-Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to peers
-Minimal local travel (up to 25%)
Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelors in Computer Science or similar
-2+ years professional experience in distributed enterprise-class IT systems
-Experience with Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2008R2
-Experience in VMWare deployment and administration
-Experience monitoring systems and practices
-Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve complex issues
-Demonstrated ability to work independently
-Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
-Proven ability to prioritize across multiple projects and meet deadlines
-Experience adapting in a dynamic work environment
-Experience working in a virtualized environment is a plus
-Experience working with Citrix is a plus
