We have an immediate need for an Applications Programmer


Our direct client is seeking a skilled Applications Programmer for a contract position.


Job Description


The Content and User Operations team keeps growing and profitable. We are dedicated to supporting the company's growing base of advertisers, publishers and users in more than 40 languages on a global basis, and providing them with the highest levels of service. We are responsible for generating revenue from a broad range of new advertising products. This means that team members need to be proactive, motivated, organized, responsible - and able to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.


As an Abuse Operations Associate, you are passionate about cutting-edge freedom of expression issues and you want to help define how people around the world communicate with one another and express their points of view. You will assist with the enforcement of content and abuse policies. You are an independent, critical thinker with sound judgment who has a passion for Internet policy and legal issues and a penchant for defining precise and scalable standards, especially in areas that are still evolving. You can balance the legal and regulatory requirements we face around the world with the needs of users, partners, and advertisers, while upholding the companyĆ¢€™s core values. This 12 month contract position will give you exposure to business model, customer focus, systems and operations. Night and weekend work shifts are a possibility.


Responsibilities:


1. Enforce policy guidelines while reviewing complaints from the Community.

2. Special data analysis project work as-needed.


Requirements:


1. BA/BS degree or equivalent with a strong academic record.

2. Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities. Strong leadership, organization, communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

3. Familiarity with Internet technologies and related policy and regulatory environments.

4. Excellent written and presentation skills.

5. Strong SQL ability.


Candidates must have excellent SQL skills, at least 2 years of experience. SQL is a key component of this position. Manager prefers candidates with a BA/BS degree. Job will entail mostly of tracking SPAM abuse. The attached quiz will only need to be completed if candidate interviews go well.
