Financial Analyst

Minimum Requirements:

Associate's degree and at least two (2) years of experience in a business or technical position. In lieu of a degree, prospective candidates may substitute an additional four (4) years of financial experience in a business or technical position. Good written communication skills and working knowledge of word processing, database, spreadsheet programs and integrated software applications is required. Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required. Position may require travel and requires the ability to maintain a Security Clearance.

Job Description:

URS is seeking a Junior Financial Analyst to support the Navy’s Airborne Electronic Attack Integrated Product Team (AEA IPT), providing cost analysis, expenditure tracking, budget preparation, budget forecast, and generation of financial reports. Selected candidate will anticipate customer requirements and provide well researched and documented solutions. In addition the selected candidate will be responsible for expert report writing.

1.Prepare contract expenditure versus estimated budget report for Contract Budget Manager on a regularly scheduled basis for use in monitoring contract costs.

2.Prepare actual cost incurred reports on a regularly scheduled basis.

3.Prepare reports for contract deliverable submissions.

4.Review organization’s financial accounting reports for validity of expenditure/level of effort data.

5.Prepare procurement requests, process subcontractor invoices and monitor subcontractor cost reports for accuracy and completeness.
