Sonoma Clean Power (SCP) is the new, locally controlled electricity provider in Sonoma County, and we are shattering paradigms by providing a real alternative to the power monopoly. Summary of Responsibilities


The Program Manager reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and directs, manages, supervises, and coordinates the activities for identifying opportunities for the development of products, services, and programs related to energy efficiency and renewable energy resources. Other duties include assesses the feasibility of product, service, and program opportunities and develops and implements business plans, including arranging for financing from public and private sources; Coordinates with federal, state, and local elected officials to develop programs and educational resources to advocate the Author


ity’s mission and goals; Makes written and oral presentations to elected and appointed boards and councils to obtain approvals to proceed with projects and to other governmental and financial organizations to obtain grants or other project funding; Establishes performance goals and objectives for new products and services; Makes presentations and provides training and workshops to community, legislative and professional groups, the Board of Directors, and the Authority staff; and, Provides recommendations to the CEO and the Board of Directors as to feasible programs and services that foster the goals and mission of Sonoma Clean Power.

Qualifications


Experience / Education


Equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or


university with major course work in engineering, energy management, environmental science, or a related field, and , five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience with an electric utility, a public agency and/or private company providing energy efficiency services.

License:


Possession of a valid Class C California driver’s license and

a satisfactory driving record at the time of hire.


Knowledge of:


Administration and development of energy efficiency and renewable energy programs that promote the mission and goals of Sonoma Clean Power; Applicable federal and state environment laws, regulations and requirements impacting the development of new programs, products, and services; Development of business and finance plans for program, product, and service development; and, construction trade and local government permitting processes including application and approval processes.

Ability to:


Oversee and participate in the development and promotion of energy efficient and renewable energy resource programs, products, and services; Prepare and administer business and marketing plans, budgets and the acquisition of financing for the development of energy efficient and renewable energy programs, products, and services; establish effective and cooperative working relationships with Authority staff, customers, local businesses, community groups, interested stakeholders, the Board, and elected officials of municipalities, agencies, special districts, and other related agencies.

Compensation


The Salary Range for this position is $ 83,000 to $ 109,000 annually and will be established DOQ. In addition, a comprehensive benefits package is provided.
