Job Description/Primary Responsibilities
AT&T National RAN is looking for a Senior RAN engineer to support the competitive mobile network benchmarking program. The primary responsibilities involves reviewing and validating third party vendors benchmarking reports on a regular basis, review drive schedules and providing analytic expertise to RAN leadership and marketing teams.
This position will entail being a national contact for AT&T RAN markets and marketing teams.
Responsibilities
Reviews, validate and QA drive test reports prior to publishing the reports to the markets
Ensure benchmarking reports for accuracy and completeness
Reviews drive schedules and drive routes, facilitate with markets and vendor for route changes
Investigate, review and analyze performance issues, through drive logs and Node Stats.
Support HQ RAN, markets and marketing for ad hoc data analysis and testing.
Conduct periodic calls with RAN markets to go over the market benchmarking reports
Data mining and identify parameters which will help improve network quality and capacity.
Collaborate and engage with cross functional teams as necessary to solve problems.
Provides technical guidance to others in the work areas.
Identifies areas where efficiency and process improvements are required
Preferred Qualifications.
BS degree in electrical engineering discipline or equivalent required.
Minimum 5 yearsâ experience in wireless industry.
Strong understanding of RAN performance and optimization. End to End knowledge a plus.
Advanced technical knowledge of GSM,CDMA UMTS and LTE technologies
Expert in Excel, Access, SQL, MapInfo, Power Point.
Advanced experience working with post processing tools like Actix and ability to post process drive data.
Knowledge of wireshark and TCP/IP a plus
Strong verbal, written and communication skills.
Good understanding of benchmarking equipment and processes
Ericsson or ALU vendor knowledge a plus
Good problem solving and analytical skills.
