Senior Technical Specialist - Advanced Body Electronics Simulation

The primary responsibilities of the Senior Technical Specialist - Advanced Body Electronics Simulation will include: Development of a virtual development environment for power closure systems, simulation and prove-out of motor control systems, leading the introduction of "sensor less" motor control into seat motor and window motor control systems and providing technical support for the Comfort & Convenience module development activities.





Basic Qualifications:



  • Master's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited University (other graduate level

    degrees with equivalent experience may be considered)

  • Must meet the Base Criteria for the Sr. Technical Specialist level in the Technical Career Path Program:

    1. Minimum of 8 years of total work experience, with a minimum 6 years applying specialty expertise

    2. Sustained level of achievement/performance (3 out of last 4 years with a satisfactory performance and

    leadership rating)

    3. Demonstrated potential to direct, teach, lead and inspire

    4. Highly effective at communicating technical issues -- both verbally and written

    5. Demonstrated depth and breadth of knowledge in an area of expertise that can be applied directly to the

    company's needs, now and in the foreseeable future

    6. Highly Effective experienced based or analytical problem solving ability, along with ability for data

    manipulation and synthesis

    7. Decision level of influence is Sr. Manager or higher

  • Achievement of a minimum of 35 points on the Qualifications Scoring Table (Education + Incremental)

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Design for Six Sigma Blackbelt certification

  • Reactive Blackbelt certification

  • Ability to train and coach technical specialists and engineers
